26 hours to get there!
Day 1 Saturday, March 31, 2018 Cincinnati to Bangkok
We are already in Bangkok in this photo (on April 2) on our first touring day. Days 1 and 2 were devoted to the 26 hours of traveling to get to Thailand.
We departed Cinci in the morning on March 31, flying to Chicago. We had to wait about five hours in the airport before departing on a 13-hour United flight to Tokyo. That flight was tough, sitting there all those hours. We watched several movies on the plane's screen; they offer dozens of recent and older movies, as well as multiple other audio and video offerings.
Day 1 blended into Day 2 somewhere over the Pacific Ocean. We crossed the International Dateline not too long before reaching Tokyo, moving us from Saturday afternoon to Sunday afternoon, which was Easter.
